New Delhi will play host to a groundbreaking LGBT tourism event on November 28, when travel professionals from across India and throughout Asia come together for Community Marketing's 1st Asian Symposium on Gay & Lesbian Tourism. The action-packed half-day event, designed to better inform those in the Asian tourism industry about working with gay and lesbian travelers to India from North America, Europe and Australia, will be presented in partnership with American Airlines, IGLTA (the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association), Out Journeys, and Pink Banana Media. Though it's long been a favorite destination for gay travelers, Prague finally hosted its first pride event this past weekend, thereby becoming the last of all European Union capitals to do so. The event had the full support of the city's mayor Bohuslav Svoboda, but it stoked local controversy and grabbed national headlines after Czech deputy chancellor Petr Hajek called homosexuals "deviants".
